The Water Affairs Department will be doing maintenance on the pipe lines over the next three months (see the list below), please note this is not maintenance from the municipality.
Water Affairs Department is part of the government and we have no authority over these scheduled maintenance outages.
Proposed dates for maintenance outages on USUTU
*COMPLETED- 12 May – 16 May – Manifold outage at Jericho dam North line (5 days)
•Pipeline inspections to be done during the Jericho outages on the leaks between Rietspruit and Kriel
•Camden manifold isolation to Onverwacht line no 3 install blank on line 3 (2month’2)
*8 July- 12 July – Manifold outage at Jericho dam South line (5 days)
•Corrosion protection on Jericho manifold to be done
•Camden manifold Onverwacht line no 3 back in operation / line 2 isolation inspection on last section not done on previous outage ( bypass give scope of work) contact Hannes to get scope of work)
*12 -21 August – railway project Majuba (10 days)(needs to be in time frame given)
•Only section from Rietspruit to Kriel will be out so any opportunity maintenance can be done on this section
*16 -25 September suction manifold Camden pump station (10 days)
•Opportunity maintenance to be done during outages that will be listed.
