Masango of Wilge near Ogies said his problem started some three months ago and he reported the matter at the Phola municipality. He was told to go to report the matter at the local municipality since Phola does not have the necessary machinery.
At the local municipality he was told that they will follow him and come and fix the sewerage.
“They promised that they were on their way to my place and they told me that they were aware of the problem. I even reported the matter to the ward councillor, who promised that he would ask them to come to my place.
Three months have passed now and we have sewage all over my yard. I have made several phone calls and all I get are promises,” explained Masango.
According to Masango the sewerage spills all over his yard and he has made an outlet to let it flow outside his home.
Masango said that other houses in the area had the same problem in the past.
An official speaking on behalf of Cllr Timothy Lukhele, who was not available, promised that she would attend to the problem urgently.
