There was no explosion, just fire
Residents will be pleased to know that there was no explosion at Eden Park.

On July 9, a fire broke in one of the Living Life Right independent units in Eden Park.
The accidental fire was allegedly caused by the flame of a gas heater setting a curtain alight. This fire spread rapidly. Fortunately and thankfully to the rapid and efficient response of the personnel, the fire was extinguished.
Eden Park would like to thank the employees of the Witbank Society for the Aged and the employees of Koolvelde Loodgieters that was on the premises at the time of the fire for their swift and prompt reaction.
Fortunately no one was injured in the fire and Eden Park is currently arranging relief accommodation for the couple who were affected by the fire, assisting them with negotiations with the insurance broker.
Fellow residents, the social worker and other employees are in constant contact with the couple in order to provide support.
