Vosman police are looking for a man following an attempted murder and arson case.
Police would like to question Mr Henry Theledi (about 50 years old) following the attempted murder of his wife, Ms Nomsa Rabela (43), and son, Amos Theledi (17). Their house was burned as well.
Their son was seriously burned and taken to Witbank Hospital by a neighbour for treatment. The family stays in Hlalanikahle Extension 1.
On Saturday, June 28 at about 07:00, the couple allegedly had an argument.
The following day at about 02:30, Theledi woke up first and his wife heard a noise. When she went to check where the noise was coming from, she met a man at the door of their bedroom. He allegedly had a knife and a five litre container with petrol.
The man is said to have pushed the Rabela back to the room and tried to stab her. They both struggled and fell down, Rabela called for help and her son came to her rescue.
Rabela managed to escape, leaving the man and son inside the house and immediately saw smoke coming from the house. The wife screamed for help while the man jumped the fence and escaped. Amos came out of the house and his clothes were burning.
Neighbours helped in putting out the fire and one of them took him to the hospital.
