
He turned himself in at the Vosman Police Station with the murder weapon still in his possession.
On August 15 at about 22:00 a woman was shot dead in Vosman in her kitchen. The man, allegedly her husband, handed himself over at the police station. He handed his firearm in as well.
Police on duty received a call from ambulance personnel who had arrived at the scene and they went to investigate the allegations of the man as well as attend to the call of paramedics. Upon their arrival at the house, they found a woman lying on the kitchen floor and next to her was another female who had also been shot.
The forensic team of the SAPS was called to the scene and weapon used in the ordeal was taken in by forensics for ballistic testing.
The man has since been arrested and has had his first appearance at court on August 18. His case has been postponed for bail application to August 25 and he remains in custody.
