Werner walks spreading the Word

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,” Matthew 28:19.

This is what an extraordinary man has done and will continue doing spreading the word of God.
Werner Gerber made a solid wooden cross weighing 60 kilograms, with names of people who have given their life to the Lord, before they passed on.

Werner took eight days to walk from Brakpan to Middelburg Toll Plaza a total of 146 kilometres carrying the cross behind him.
“I took everyday one step at a time, it was an amazing experience as I met so many people along the road for which I prayed,” said Werner.

Werner, his wife and daughter have immigrated to New Zealand where he intends on carrying the cross once again in New Zealand spreading the word there too.
“Its all about you are never guaranteed that there will be a tomorrow,” said Werner.
One other incredible journey Werner has taken on was to travel to Nambia without any money and food.
“We were so blessed along this route, people just come out to help us by giving money for petrol and other people just handed out food,” said Werner.

Werner gives all the glory to God.
