In January three different schools in eMalahleni were broken into and suspects got away with various electronic equipment.
On Friday night, February 5 Audeamus school was broken into and the suspects gained entry into the office by coming in through the roof.
A hole was cut in the corrugated steel roofing where the suspects climbed through and they managed to steal all the electronic equipment from the office.
At this stage there’s an investigation being done by the police and the security company which Audeamus uses.
The alarm was set, but on Friday afternoon a technician from the security company worked on the system.
The security company never received a signal that an alarm went off in the office building.
Laerskool Kragbron, Laerskool Reyno Rif and Hoërskool Patriot were also broken into in January just when the schools opened.
