A massive storm hit Ga-Nala over the past weekend and the town suffered severe damage from the storm.
On Sunday, February 21 residents in Ga-Nala had to remain in their homes as the huge storm along with strong winds hit the town.

Huge trees were uprooted by a storm that hit Ga-Nala on Sunday, February 21.
Huge trees that have been growing for years and years were uprooted, falling across the main street.
In other areas of Ga-Nala in Arend – and Playfair Street trees fell down and onto vehicles. A part of the shopping centre was also damaged due to the storm.
“It rained a lot here and there was lot of damaged,” said Ms R. Reddy.
After the storm the power was out, so Kriel Ga-Nala 911 assisted the municipality by providing light as they removed the tree from the road.

Due to the storm that hit Ga-Nala on Sunday, February 21 many vehicles and parts of a shopping centre were damaged.
The tree had to be removed to avoid any accidents.
