On Thursday, February 25 between 18:00 and 19:00 Mr Geoffarary Maseya alleged that he was driving in Mandela Street, when he stopped at a red robot.

While waiting for the robot to change to green an unknown suspect came and opened the truck door.
The suspect took out a firearm, that’s when another three suspects walked over to the truck and climbed inside.
As the four suspects and the truck driver were crammed into the truck cab, they told Maseya not to move.
One of the suspects started assaulting Maseya and put him in the back of the truck.
As he was trapped in the back, the suspect started to drive the truck.

This silver Audi was hijacked in eMalahleni recovered the following evening in Yeoville.

Meseya could hear the suspects speaking on the phone, telling the person on the other side that they have found the truck.
Eventually the truck came to a stop and Meseya was pulled out of the truck and left in an open field, the truck then drove away.

Meseya managed to get himself to a hospital because he was injured, then a case of hijacking was opened.
On Friday, February 19 at approximately 19:00 Mr Frank Matsepane alleged that he was driving in the Witbank Central Business District (CBD) in his silver Volkswagen Polo from Gauteng.
At about 20:00 he stopped at a stop sign when three unknown men approached him seated in his vehicle.
One moved quickly to the driver’s side of the vehicle and the other went to the passenger door, one stood in front of the vehicle.

The suspect on Matsepane’s side of the door took out his firearm and started shouting ‘Get out’, ‘Get out.’
Then they tied his hands up with shoe laces and placed him in the back seat of the car.
The suspects then started driving the vehicle, as Matsepane recalls they used a hammer as they hit his legs with it, then they just dropped him off next to a road in Benoni.

On Sunday, February 29 this silver Audi was hijacked in eMalahleni and it recovered the following evening in Yeoville. One suspect was arrested who had a firearm in his possession.
