On Thursday, March 24 at approximately 01:00 a security guard at a business in Beyers Street alleged that he was sleeping in the guard room when he heard a noise outside.

He went to check what was happening when he noticed two unknown men wearing security guard clothes.
They pointed a firearm at the security guard and ordered him to lie down.
As the security guard was on the floor at gun point by one suspect, the other suspect started searching the guard room and took the guard’s belongings.

The suspects took a wrist watch, a pair of shoes, scissors and two different SIM cards. Once the suspects had the items they wanted they left, no shots were fired.

On Wednesday, March 23 when a staff member returned back to the school she noticed that it had been broken into.
She alleged that on Friday, March 18 when the school closed the premises were locked up and everything was in order.
Various items valued at an undisclosed amount were stolen.
