A 25-year-old woman got the fright of her life when she was held up by a suspect as they hijacked her.
On Friday, April 1 at approximately 22:57 the young woman drove her BMW 1 series to her home in Tasbet Park in Kaptein Street.
When she got home she climbed out of her vehicle and opened the gates, when the 25-year-old got back into her vehicle she saw a suspect standing next to her armed with a firearm.
He pointed the gun at her head and told her to get out of the vehicle and that she must not make eye contact with him.
That is when she noticed the second person standing on the other side of the car; he started searching the car for valuable items.
Once the suspects collected everything of value they climbed into the vehicle and left the young woman in shock standing outside on the pavement.
Eventually the woman managed to make a plan to get to the police station to open a case of hijacking.
The suspects got away with the BMW and two cell phones.
