On April 4 the woman who resides at Phola was walking on the N12 highway around 15:45, when she noticed she was being followed by a man.
As she continued walking the suspect was still following her. Eventually he caught up with her and then pushed her onto the ground. The police report states that the man took off the woman’s clothes and allegedly raped her. After the dreadful ordeal, the suspect got dressed and ran away. A case of rape was opened at Witbank Police Station.
