First real mist accident in eMalahleni

The highways around eMalahleni where closed as various accidents occurred on the highways, amongst the accidents a bakkie collided into an ambulance.

Early on Friday morning, April 22 the cars started collided into one another in the thick mist.

The N4 and N12 highway have been closed, as well as the road towards Kleinkopjie and the road towards Rietspruit due to the mist.

Accidents spread from the N12 split all the way to Ogies.
Motorists are warned to drive safely during this time as they are still trying to clear up the accident scenes.

No death reported in mist accident

The mist accidents on the N12 and N4 highway never claim any lives.
However seven people sustained serious injuries and 25 motor vehicles and four heavy motor vehicles were in a chain of accidents.

The accidents happened on Friday morning, April 22.
Both highways have been cleared and opened.
