The Witbank SAPS has had another busy week of arrests as their co-operation with the Community Policing Forum (CPF) lead to many of the successes.

The Witbank SAPS has had another busy week of arrests as their co-operation with the Community Policing Forum (CPF) lead to many of the successes. Four cases of domestic violence saw arrests being made. Nine cases of illegal immigration were also handled.

A surprising 15 cases of assault were reported to the police and arrests were made. 20 people were also arrested for general theft and possession of drug cases also had eight successful arrests.

Four people were arrested for possession of suspected stolen property. Three people were arrested for more serious crimes of armed robbery and one person was caught for alleged murder.

The police also arrested six people for selling liquor without a license. They also made many arrests for shoplifting, contravening of a protection order, and driving under the influence of alcohol. In total they made 98 arrests during the last week.
