According to Vosman police the peaceful protest on Monday, May 30 took place at the main Church Street in Thushanang at about 01:00 as the road was closed with stones, rocks and burning tyres. A group of about 60 community members were seen on the road up until 08:00 protesting.
The area affected was within residential area in Thushanang from Church Street to the bridge going to Lynnville. No report of injury to any person or damage to any property was reported as.
The information on hand suggests that the community protest was a service delivery protest for electricity of some section of Thala and Sizanani which is informal settlements.
Vosman police station members and public order policing were monitoring the area until late.
