After a mother’s car was stolen she has no choice but to walk where she wishes to be.
At about 18:00 on June 9, Ms Cheri-Lee Campbell arrived at the NG Kerk Witbank Suid in Plumer Street to watch her daughter’s choir performance.
“I locked my car and went into the church to watch my daughter sing in the choir, an hour later we came out together and my car was gone,” said Campbell.
Glass lay scattered where Campbell had parked her car.
The white Volkswagen Golf Chico that was stolen last week Thursday evening.
“They must have smashed the window as I remember there not being any glass when I arrived,” she said.
Her car had in fact been stolen, the white Volkswagen Golf 2004 Chico had a few distinguishing marks that set it apart from others.
“It was scratched and there was a rust patch on the one wheel guard, additionally there was a small rust patch around the rear windscreen wiper,” she said.
The vehicle was registered with the license CZ65MG-GP and was valued at about R35 000.
