Man arrested after being found in possession of dagga

It was a busy time for police as they made numerous arrests on those dealing and being found in possession of drugs. On August 17 around 17:00 a man was found in possession of dagga at Klipfontein.

Another arrest was made on August 30 at Springbok Street. Police were patrolling around Tasbet Park when they came across people sitting outside a liquor store. They got out of the vehicle to search the people. While busy searching them they found a man aged 34 with drugs. He was transported to Witbank Police Station and a charge of being found in possession of drugs was opened.

Brig Delisiwe Motha together with some police officials took to the Central Business District for their special operations. This was done on August 31 around 10:30.

The aim of these operations is to sweep the streets of eMalahleni clean leaving it crime free. As they were busy police officials noticed two people that were doing something in-front of a bakkie. The police official asked a traffic officer to stop the vehicle so that they can approach the two suspects. When they got there both of them were searched and one of them was found with a small yellow plastic in his hand and inside was allegedly heroin. The 31-year-old suspect was arrested on the scene.

Four hours later on the very same day another man was arrested for allegedly being in possession of drugs. This comes after police were following information they received about someone who might be a drug dealer. When they got to Pioneer Avenue a 27-year-old man had a transparent plastic with a crystal look a-like substance and a ring shaped plastic in his possession. He was locked away for committing a crime.

Another drug arrest was made at Old Coronation on Saturday, September 3 around 22:00 where a man aged 28 was locked up for allegedly being found in possession of dagga.
