Titan back to his old self

They prayed and hoped that Titan fully recovers so he can return home and be the bubbly dog they know.

They prayed and hoped that Titan fully recovers so he can return home and be the bubbly dog they know. They longed to see him run around the house and play with him. On September 14 their prayers were answered the black and brown beaut was discharged from Klipfontein Veterinary Clinic after being poisoned.

Mr Michael Mckay alleges that he has not received any help from the police about this issue; he mentions that he phoned the police twice but they still have not been at his home situated at Cleopatra Street, Die Heuwel Extension 1.

“They did not arrive. So it seems they really do not care to assist the public,” said a concerned Mckay.

Damian and Teagan Mckay are all smiles as Titan is back home after being on a drip at Klipfontein Veterinary Clinic. This comes after he was poisoned at Cleopatara Street, Die Heuwel on September 13.

Spokesperson of the police Capt Eddie Hall said poisoning of dogs is a criminal offence of crimen injuria which must be opened by the police.

“The public are requested to contact the station commander regarding poor service delivery by any members of the police,” advised Hall.

Titan was poisoned in the wee hours of Tuesday, September 13.

Mckay was woken up by dogs barking outside and when he left for work he did not see Titan, that worried him so he went to look for him at the back of the house, he saw him lying helpless after being poisoned. Mckay indicated that nothing was stolen in his yard but his neighbour’s two dogs were also poisoned.

Titan was rushed to the Vet Clinic at 06:00 where Dr Dawie Havelaar put a drip on him fortunately he was discharged the following day.

“The whole family is delighted to have him back home, thank you to Dr Havelaar and the staff for assisting us,” said Mckay.
