Celebrating our very own supermen and wonder women
On Wednesday, May 24 it was ‘Thank a Paramedic Day’ and Solidarity’s Witbank branch visited three ambulance offices to spoil them with pizza for lunch.

Living up to their name, Solidarity Helping Hands gave back to the city’s heroes and heroines (paramedics).
On Wednesday, May 24 it was ‘Thank a Paramedic Day’ and Solidarity’s Witbank branch visited three ambulance offices to spoil them with pizza for lunch.

ER24 paramedics: Lindiwe Mahlangu, Maritza van Niekerk, Estie Biela, Craig Sundè, Andriaan Grobler and Annemarie van Heerden (Solidarity Helping Hands Witbank Branch Chairperson).
This day is designated to show our appreciation to paramedics for the work they do daily through out the year.

Langamed Emergency Management staff: Innocent Yende, Sifiso Mncube, Lize Stock, Gerrie Dalgleish and Kiyo Padayachee.
Paramedics are brave men and women who serve the community and the entire nation without fail, putting a patient’s life before their own lives at times. Call them our very own supermen and wonder women.

Legacy Emergency Specialists paramedics: Marlise Labuschagne (Solidarity Helping Hand), Henlu du Plessis, Estie Kotze, Fransious Jonker and Zane Labuschagne (Solidarity Helping Hand).
“To all our paramedics, through your good work you are able to serve our communities with the highest level of integrity, professional excellence and compassion. Thank you for providing us with your dedicated service,” appreciated Chairperson of Solidarity Helping Hands Witbank Branch, Annemarie van Heerden.
These Hands
These hands have touched the warmth of life
These hands have touched the icy emptiness of death
These hands have felt the numbing pain of the sick injured
These hands have soothed their petrifying fears
These hands have desperately grabbed for life slipping away
These hands have felt anger at senseless death
These hands have searched for answers
These hands have seen comfort in another’s eyes from an outreached hand
These hands find happiness in living
These hands find joy in helping others
These hands passionately hold onto the hope that they never have to do it again
These hands live with the reality they will
These hands have made a difference
Thank you JD – Med Emergency Medical Services, Legacy Emergency Specialists, ER24, Langamed Emergency Management and the Provincial ambulance for being there when we need you the most. It is appreciated.
