Residents in Vosman are still in shock over the untimely death of Mr Jimmy Ramuntsa.

According to Mr Mongezi Jele, a resident of Vosman, Ramuntsa tried to reconnect electricity that tripped at a transformer on Monday, July 24 when he was electrocuted.

“Jimmy used a ladder and climbed up to the transformer in Steve Tshwete Road in Ext 16. The power tripped the previous night and he wanted to lend a hand by switching it on again,” Jele said.

Disbelief was written all over Ramuntsa’s wife Nokubonga’s face and she stood motionless, listening to neighbours’ condolences.

The couple stayed in Vosman for the past six years.

Rumours hat Ramuntsa was working at the municipality is not true. He was jobless and came to eMalahleni in the hope of finding work.
