A man was arrested at Masakhane for allegedly raping a 21-year-old woman. The misfortune happened on Sunday, March 4 at 04:00. The woman was sleeping and when she woke up, there was someone next to the bed. She screamed and the suspect covered the woman’s mouth with his hand.
The suspect forcefully pulled the woman’s skirt up and allegedly raped her. He left the room through the window. The suspect was later arrested.
Another case took place at Old Coronation where a 13-year-old girl was allegedly raped by two men, one is known and the other is unknown.
On Saturday, March 3 at 22:00 the girl was at a local tavern. She was going to the bathroom when two men grabbed her and covered her face with a black jacket. They took her to a house and tied the house owner.

The two men allegedly took turns in raping her. The home owner managed to untie himself and escaped to ask for help. The home owner came back with his friends and they threw stones at the shack. The two suspects went outside and the girl managed to escape. The unknown suspect allegedly had a firearm and fired a shot.
Last Tuesday afternoon, February 27 the third woman was allegedly raped. A woman aged 24 was at the bus stop waiting for a taxi at 06:30.
The suspect who is known stopped his vehicle next to the victim and asked where she was going so early in the morning.
She replied and said she was on her way to town to send her application to Pretoria. The suspect allegedly grabbed her hand bag and took out her room keys.
He told her to come to his place situated in Duvha Park later when she returns from town.
Later that day at 12:20 the woman went to the suspect’s house and he was not there. She then called him and he said he was on his way.
When the suspect arrived, he grabbed her and they went to his room where she was allegedly raped.
