
An attempted hijack left a resident unconscious on a dirt road.
On Saturday, March 10 a call came through to the South African Community Crime Watch (SACCW) open channel on Zello from a member requiring assistance on the Jackaroo Plots.
SACCW operations co-ordinator Maureen Scheeprs attended to the scene to find a young man badly assaulted.
It came to light that the victim had stopped on the dirt road close to the railway tracks from Jackaroo Plots after visiting friends residing in the area.

It was then when he was attacked by two unknown males.
During the assault the victim managed to throw his ‘bakkie’ keys out of sight while the suspects continued to assault the man to the point where he lost consciousness.
The victim later regained consciousness and luckily still had his mobile phone in his pocket and contacted his friends for assistance.
His friend called the emergency through to SACCW.
SAPS were dispatched.
A statement from the victim was scheduled to be taken from the hospital after the victim could be stabilised.
Legacy Emergency Specialists attended to the patient, stabilised him on scene and transported him to hospital.
