Witbank SAPS are combating drugs on the streets.
On Thursday, March 8, two police officers were officially on duty patrolling the central business district when they spotted a suspicious looking man.
As they approached the suspect he noticed the police vehicle and tried to hide.
The police found him and introduced themselves.

Thereafter they began to search him.
In his underwear they found a black plastic bag and unwrapped it.
Inside was a white substance suspected to be drugs.
They also found two Nokia cell phones that had been switched off.
The man was arrested on scene for possession of suspected stolen property and possession of drugs.
