The Easter weekend started badly for three drivers travelling on the N4 highway.

The three car pileup on the N4 highway on Wednesday, March 28 at about 06:50.
According to the police report two vehicles were travelling in the same direction while the third vehicle was travelling in the opposite direction on Wednesday, March 28 at about 06:50.

The vehicle travelling in the opposite direction lost control and collided with both vehicles.
One of the vehicles was hit in such a way that it lost control and went off the road. All three vehicles were damaged beyond repair and all three drivers were injured.

Onlookers and tow truck drivers at the accident scene on the N4 highway on Wednesday, March 28 at about 06:50.
The driver of a Toyota Quantum, Mr Bongane Manana had his leg broken and was admitted to hospital.
The other driver of the VW Polo, Mr Sibusiso Hlophe had minor injuries to his spinal cord and was discharged on the same day.
The third driver did not respond to our call.
The Vosman SAPS has opened a case of negligent driving.
