
Vosman police have raised their concern about the high number of cars hijacked in their area.
In two days, two cars worth more than half a million were hijacked. A white Volkswagen (JHF 699 MP) valued at R170 000 was hijacked on Friday, April 5 at about 20:40. The car was hijacked in KwaGuqa in Extension 5 from its 28 year old owner.
The complainant alleged that he was with his wife coming from work when they arrived home and parked his vehicle. When he opened the gate he saw two suspects who suddenly approached them brandishing a firearm and robbed them of their cell phones then fled the scene with his vehicle.

In the second car hijacking, that happened on Friday, April 6 at about 20:00 a 56 year old became a victim. His dark blue Chevrolet, not yet registered, valued at R400 000 was hijacked.
He reported that he had just parked his vehicle and went inside the shop and when he returned to the vehicle he was approached by three suspects who were armed. They forced him to the back seat of the car and then drove with him.
Two of the suspects hit him on the head using their firearms and he was dropped off along the road. He was hijacked at the Total Garage in Ackerville.
