An alleged suspect was shot inside a school premises near the Central Business District (CBD) and he was kept inside a storeroom.
The incident occurred on Saturday, May 12 at approximately 08:3; there was no one at the school during this time period.
A few minutes later the security company contacted the police reporting that a person had been shot and that they are with the suspect.

When the police officer arrived on the scene, they found that a suspect had been shot in his lower left leg and he was in the store room.
The suspect was taken to Witbank Provincial Hospital where he underwent medical treatment before he was taken into police custody.
He is currently in police custody for investigation, while a case of attempted murder was opened.
