A man rolled his car down Panorama Street leaving some of the Highveld Park residents without power for almost 24 hours.

A man rolled his car down Panorama Street leaving some of the Highveld Park residents without power for almost 24 hours.

Early on Saturday morning, November 24 a young man was in a white Corsa hatchback car that rolled and smashed an electrical box in Panorama Street, Highveld Park.

“The owner of the house in front of where the accident occurred informed the Highveld Park Neighbourhood Watch Group on Whatsapp,” explained Maureen Scheepers SACCW Operations Coordinator.

“We rushed to the scene and we also dispatched Legacy Emergency Specialists,” explained Scheepers.

The man was attended to by the paramedics from Legacy and he was taken to hospital.

His hand was seriously injured during the accident.

There were no other vehicles involved in the accident.

The Corsa was towed away and the accident scene was cleared.

The power in Panorama Street and other parts of Highveld Park only came back on Monday, November 26.
