Operation festive season fills ho-ho-holding cells

The past week has seen the launch of ‘Operation Festive Season,’ an initiative by Witbank SAPS.

Operation Festive Season will see a crack-down on crack-heads for Christmas, as Witbank SAPS slowly fill up Santa’s naughty list.

The arrests that have been made up to this point are staggeringly high; leaving us wondering if there’s any snow left in the North Pole, with all of eMalahleni’s druggies shoving white-stuff up their noses all of the time.

On December 11, the Christmas-crusade against drug abuse kicked off with the arrest of one 32-year old man for being in possession of mandrax, a street-drug that often takes the form of a little white pill and has a sedative effect.

On December 12, four arrests were made; a 30 year old man, a 24-year old man and a 36-year old man were arrested for being in possession of heroin, whilst a 40-year old man was arrested for being in possession of cocaine.

December 13 saw another four arrests; two 33-year old men, a 27-year old man and a 24-year old man were sent to the slammer for being in possession of heroin.

On December 14 only one arrest was affected, that of a 30-year old man found to be in possession of mandrax.

On December 15 the Witbank SAPS made-up for the slow day which they had on December 14 by arresting five individuals on drug-related charges: A 29-year old man for being in possession of cocaine, one 32-year old and one 30-year old man for being in possession of mandrax and a 26-year old man, a 29-year old man and a 32-year old man for being in possession of heroin.

Some of the drugs found over the passed week.

On December 16 a 32-year old man was arrested for possession of heroin, and on December 17 a 24-year old man spent a night in the cells after being caught in possession of R550’s worth of cocaine.

These arrests were affected on public streets and also through household searches. Don’t get high this festive season, unless you want Witbank SAPS to make a festive visit.
