The South African National Blood Service (SANBS) urgently needs your blood this Festive Season

The South African National Blood Service (SANBS) appeals to all South Africans to donate blood at any of their local donor centres

The South African National Blood Service (SANBS) appeals to all South Africans to donate blood at any of their local donor centres or any place where they see the SANBS mobile teams as soon as possible and donate blood to bolster the national blood stock, which is at an extremely low of 2.1days of group O.

To qualify as a donor you need to weigh 50KG or more, be 16 years or older, lead a safe lifestyle and consider your blood to be safe to be transfused to a patient.

To find out more about donating blood and to locate your nearest SANBS donor centre, visit sanbs.org.za or call 0800 11 90 31.

Donate blood and give the gift of life this Festive Season.
