Pastors visit the prison

The aim of the revival was to show love, care and support to the inmates.

Different pastors and members of the community together with Ikwekwezi FM visited Witbank Prison to hold a revival ceremony.

The ceremony was held on Wednesday, December 12.

They were told that during the birth of Christ which is remembered during Christmas, the pastors want them to join in the celebrations.

The inmates were told to change for the better and give their lives to Christ.

One of the inmates, Nkosana Zikhali said he was arrested in 2010 and God has travelled with him through the long journey.

“God is alive and praise must be given to him. My life belong to God, I am proud to say that I belong to him. The love of God has made me strong, as He has mercy on me. He has guided me through all these years and I hope to receive my parole sooner and hope to spread His word even after my release.”

Pastor Maria Jacobs of Ikwekwezi FM said restoration was very important.

He said God give hope and that the inmates must let the past to go.

He encouraged them to look forward to a new life and keep on praying for God to guide them through the journey.

He said God will open doors for them so that they reach their dreams.

The inmates were afforded time to ask for prayers for a live broadcast by Ikwekwezi FM.

Music and poetry forms part of the entertainment during the programme.

The pastors were thanked for making time to visit prison centres.
