The beautiful 38-year-old Jane Mabe has so many plans for her year of reign.

“I entered Mrs Africa to be an inspiration to my community, to show them that we have power to change our situations and that with hard work and determination we can achieve great things in life,” she told WITBANK NEWS.

Her goals, as Mrs Africa International, are to add dignity in her community by providing washable sanitary pads to girls in need and educate about menstrual health.

“In many instances many girls commencing their periods have no idea what is happening, have no one to turn to and because of myths and surrounding this most natural of bodily functions are too afraid to ask for assistance,” she said.

She highlights the importance of mother and daughter relationship and said her own daughters, Jessica and Jacqueline, inspired her to follow her childhood dream and become a beauty queen.

“I want to encourage everyone to unlock their potential through their talents. More than any other sport, football has the power to unite people and cultures all over the world. As a team sport, football promotes fairness and tolerance, leapfrogs gender boundaries and fosters mutual understanding, thereby contributing to the positive development of personality and character. Hosting street soccer tournaments will be the used as the tool for different exercises regarding a wide range of life skills are compiled, such as fair play, respect, tolerance, team work, health, hygiene and environment. The purpose is to uplift and to unlock the potential of our youth through their talents.”

This Mrs Africa is not only beautiful, she also has a passion for her community.
