High school turns into nightmare for 14-year-old

A video that surfaced last week shows three boys assaulting a 14-year-old grade 8 learner from a local school in eMalahleni.

The 14-year-old boy’s mother, Ms Bonisiwe Makhoba said a visit to the school to address the problem left her with more anger.

“The school’s principal is not doing much about the situation. My son’s first memories of high school are shattered. The boys who assaulted my son are walking the school grounds freely,” Makhoba said.

“Bullying is not ok,” she said.

An assault case was opened at Witbank Police Station.
