King George’s Park is one of the biggest parks in eMalahleni, with the most beautiful trees.
Unfortunately the horrific tales that this park has to tell is something to cry about.
A doctor’s practice in the area are suffering the most, as some days the doctors cannot even hear the stethoscope.
Ongoing drinking, partying and ‘inhumane’ actions are the cause for a lot of distress by many residents.
“It has reached a point where we are too scared to leave here in the evenings. The things you see on a daily basis are terrible. People should not live like that,” a concerned employee said.
With a church, schools, doctor’s practice and a hospital in close vicinity, the park needs urgent help.
Mr Kingdom Mabuza, municipal spokesperson said: “There are plans to erect a fence around the park, to regulate access. We have infrastructure ready for us to build toilets.
Once the budget is allocated we will start.”
