No, it’s not a new platinum credit card in “rose gold” – it’s a way for you to help the homeless, whilst insuring that your kindly donation doesn’t get put to nefarious use.
Introducing the ‘Shoprite Food Card’ – the card that allows you to give money to your local homeless person, and which can be used at Shoprite, Checkers, Hungry Lion, MediRite Pharmacies, Checkers Hyper, OK Furniture or Shoprite USave stores, but which cannot be used to purchase alcohol or tobacco.
SAVF Wonderland have already kick-started this amazing initiative by vowing to use a percentage of the proceeds from their clothing store to fill-up five Shoprite Food Cards every month; they will donate these five food cards to individuals who are suitably needy.
