A clean-up operation, aiming to clean eMalahleni downtown of illegal traders, drugs and criminals is truly paying off.
This operation is named Operation Fiela and Brigadier Delisiwe Motha is the leading lady in this process.
On Thursday, 7 March police members aimed and hit the ‘bulls-eye’ at a salon in Mandela drive.
The salon is allegedly run and owned by a woman that has overstayed her welcome in South Africa.
According to her passport and visa regulations she was supposed to be out of South Africa by January this year.
Along with her was also many other non-South Africans that were also overstaying their visit.
Not only were they in South Africa illegally, but they also ran a business without the necessary documents and permits.
“This woman has broken many laws of this country, she is here illegally, she runs a business illegally, she employs people that are here illegally and she even sells prohibited beauty creams illegally. Along with all of these illegal actions, she also provides people with fraudulent matric certificates and other false documents,” explained Brigadier Motha.
All of the suspects were arrested and their cases are being investigated.
