A man appeared in Witbank Magistrate’s Court earlier this week for attempted murder.
The man was arrested on May 12 after he stabbed a security guard from CSC Tactical.
Mr Israel Ndlovu from CSC Tactical was on duty at a liquor store at Riverview Village Centre in Gordon Road when he reprimanded a man stirring up trouble outside the liquor store.
The man stopped and left only to return a little later. He allegedly came up to Ndlovu from behind and stabbed him.
The 26-year-old man was arrested just outside the shopping centre when he tried to flee the scene.
Mr Pieter Cromhout, chief executive officer of CSC Tactical said Ndlovu has been discharged from hospital and he is recuperating.
