They group raised several issues and they wanted the officials to come and close some of the mines in their areas
Protesters marching to the department of mineral resources after they could not get answers from the official.
Different structures from as far as Ermelo and Phola and local ones marched and staged a sit in seeking answers from the officials.
The march was held on Thursday, March 12.
The group stated that a meeting called by the department was held at city hall and was suppose to start at 10:00 until 16:00 was cancelled by the department officials without any reason.
The groups thought that it was good chance for them to raise concerns about a lot of issues to the department, one of which is the issue of illegal mining in their areas.
