Robbers ‘touch’ jewellery store

The robbers fled with an undisclosed amount of goods, it is believed that they fled with two vehicles of which one is a Hyundai

A jewellery store in Highveld Mall was robbed by an unknown amount of robbers.

It is alleged that two suspected robbers came into the mall on March 19 and pointed customers with a firearm while walking to the store they then robbed.

“The men were wearing overalls and face masks, so nobody thought it was suspicious as we are in the time of this coronavirus,” a car guard told WITBANK NEWS on scene.

The robbers fled with an undisclosed amount of goods, it is believed that they fled with two vehicles of which one is a Hyundai.

Mr Henri Gouws, the marketing manager from Highveld Mall confirmed the incident and said that everything is under control and nobody sustained any injuries. Trading goes ahead as normal.

Police are investigating.
