Carjackings are known to be a very serious and dangerous crime in eMalahleni; you can never be too safe regarding the protection of your car or yourself.
On Thursday, March 12 Dan Ndinawe and his two friends were victims of another armed carjacking.
It is alleged that when Dan stopped in front of his gate, one of Dan’s friends climbed out of the vehicle to open the gate.
Dan said; “It felt like within five seconds they were around us”.
Allegedly a man approached the friend at the gate and another one Dan’s window.
The man tried to take the key out of the ignition, but failed.
Dan then grabbed his pepper spray, but it was too late.
They demanded Dan to get out of the vehicle and lie down on the grass together with his two friends.
Without realising that there is another suspect behind him, Dan got up and started running and got shot in the leg.
Dan said; “When I was shot, I couldn’t stop running, I had to continue and yell for help.”
Dan was helped and taken to hospital.
The suspects took the vehicle, cash and Dan and his friend’s cellphones.
