The community is warned not to leave their cars unlocked, also to make sure their cars are locked after parking them and their belongings placed in the boot or somewhere in the car where they won’t be visible to the public eye

Kriel SAPS are concerned about the increase of theft out of motor vehicles.
“Most of this crimes occur in residential areas during the night with cars parked outside, in the parking shopping complex during the day, also the negligence of the car owners leaving the windows open and available,” said police spokesperson Const Angel Makubu.
The community is warned not to leave their cars unlocked, also to make sure their cars are locked after parking them and their belongings placed in the boot or somewhere in the car where they won’t be visible to the public eye.
The trend shows that the thieves just love stealing car radios.
“The community is requested to improve its safety measures and take the necessary precautionary measures. Also to report any suspicious persons or motor vehicles to the police,” said Const Makubu.
