Thieves drag a student to nearby bush then rob him

Witbank Police are investigating a case of robbery with a weapon other than a firearm

A chilled mood for a robbed student unfolded in an unanticipated shock of his life when he was dragged by three suspects to a nearby bush simply to have his Samsung A30 cell phone stolen.

The student who wished to remain anonymous said he was walking from Highveld Mall to his home, in Ben Fleur while listening to music with his headphones at around 18:30 on Saturday, March 14 when the incident occurred.

“I never expected such to occur as I am used to walking on that street, this was a traumatic experience for me. But I will heal on my own with time,” he added.

Police confirm in their reports that the student was threatened with a knife and dragged to a nearby bush after he came across three suspects before he was robbed off his cell phone valued at R4 000.
