Raped after leaving her boyfriend’s home

While she was walking back home, an unknown man grabbed her and pulled her into an abandoned shack

A 32-year-old woman was raped on her way home by an unknown man, leaving her emotionally scarred for life.

On Friday, October 16 at approximately 21:00 in Old Coronation the 32-year-old woman went to visit her boyfriend.

She did not stay there long, approximately half an hour later she left him and went back to her mother’s house.

While she was walking back home, an unknown man grabbed her and pulled her into an abandoned shack.

That is where he threatened her with a gun and told her to get undressed and then he raped her.

A case of rape was opened at Witbank Police Station.

“There are help centres in eMalahleni that help women deal with the emotions after being raped. If you need help, get the help you need,” said Captain Eddie Hall, spokesperson from Witbank Police Station.
