Wrong turn before a hair appointment

A 16-year-old girl was allegedly raped before her appointment at a hair salon after a chat with her professor.

A 16-year-old girl was allegedly raped before her appointment at a hair salon after a chat with her professor.

On December 9, a young girl from Klarinet was on her way to an appointment at a local hair salon when a professor of hers came by and sat with her while she waited.

It is believed that the girl asked the suspect if she can borrow his phone. After using his phone he allegedly said that his cell phone’s battery is flat and that she can walk with him to get a charger.

As they arrived at his place, she sat and waited for him on his bed.

It was then when he allegedly tried to kiss her, but she denied him that, and he forcefully pulled her hair and started undressing her, and allegedly raped her without prevention.

After he was done, he gave her R20 to buy a Coke as it prevents pregnancy the suspect told her.

The victim then ran home and phoned the social services to inform them that she was allegedly raped.

The case was reported to Witbank Police Station and a case of rape was opened.
