Suspect wanted for attempted rape and assault in Vosman
The victim, a young woman stated that she was walking alone on December 26 on her way to work when she was attacked by an unknown male.
The Witbank Police FCS (Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual offences) unit is urging the community to assist regarding a wanted suspect in a case of attempted rape that occurred in the Vosman area.
The victim, a young woman stated that she was walking alone on December 26 on her way to work when she was attacked by an unknown male.
The man pushed her to the ground and started to undress her.
The man was distracted by the sound of an oncoming vehicle, and she managed to escape.
The man then proceeded to chase after her and brutally assaulted her when he caught up with her.
He took pictures of her naked on the ground before she managed to successfully escape for the second time.
The suspect is believed to be aged between 25 and 30.
He is muscular and a medium height and was speaking Zulu during the crime. He has short black hair and brown eyes. He has a short beard and moustache.
