A third pedestrian accident in the same street

The child was rushed to Life Cosmos Hospital, hoping for emergency assistance due to the increased spike in COVID-19 patients admitted.

Springbok Street made headlines again after a child was accidentally hit by a vehicle on the corner of Eland and Springbok Street.

This will be the third incident in the past six months that occurred of a pedestrian being hit by vehicle in that same street.

Mr John Chapman was present when the accident occurred and alleged that the child ran in front of the moving vehicle.

Langamed Emergency Management was immediately dispatched to the scene for medical assistance.

“The injured child was rushed to Life Cosmos Hospital. The patient sustained serious head injuries but not life-threatening,” said Langamed’s CEO Mr Dino Padayachee.

The driver of the vehicle was too traumatised to speak to the media on the scene.
