Rape suspect sought

The Witbank Police FCS (Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual offences) unit is urging the community to assist with regard to a wanted suspect, for a case of rape that occurred in eMalahleni, Extension 3.

On November 28 the victim, a young female, claims that on the day of the incident she was at the ‘Kota Shop’ walking alone at 01:00 when she was brutally attacked by two African males that are unknown to her. One of the men pushed her to the ground and forcefully undressed her and proceeded to rape her. The other male did not rape her; they both ran away after the incident.

The suspect is believed to be aged between 35 and 40. He is of slender build and medium height and was speaking Zulu during the crime. He had a brush cut hairstyle with brown eyes. He was wearing a green tracksuit jacket.
