Zama welcomed at her church
Zama thanked all the people, her parents, her team, organisations and above all God for the support
Zama Khumalo was welcomed at her church Well of Wellness in Hlalanikahle.
It was said that her achievement for being the winner of the Idols SA Season 16 was not a mistake.
Bishop Christian Sibeko her mentor said Zama started at a very young age to sing at the church and later joined the worshipping team and was encouraged by some church members to continue singing.
It was said that at times she wanted to give up but she was urged on.
“You must always remember where you come from and always pray and believe in God. The people of eMalahleni, the province and others from other parts of the country voted for you because they saw something different in you. God will always be with you and uplift if you remain humble. May the good Lord bless all the people who supported you, different organisations and the sponsors, team Zama, Visit Vakasha by providing food, the municipality, families and all the people who used their money and took their time to vote for you. All the people and the organisations came together for a common cause to support you. It was not easy but at the end of the day it was worth the effort,” said Bishop Sibeko.
Zama thanked all the people, her parents, her team, organisations and above all God for the support.
“It was a tough journey with some challenges at times. With your encouragement and support I made it through. You showed love and carry me through all. I will make sure that I repay back that love and support. I will always belong here,” Zama said.
Zama was later presented with a bible by Bishop Sibeko.
