Join the sea rescue Witbank Dam family

Land based, swift water and sea (dam) going volunteers are needed at Station 35 – Witbank Dam.

Land based, swift water and sea (dam) going volunteers needed.

No prior experience required.

Station 35 – Witbank Dam are embarking on their annual trainee intake for 2021. It takes a special person to volunteer for the National Sea Rescue Institute. You need to have a passion for people, saving lives and serving the community.

Sea Rescue Station 35 Witbank offers personal development, physical and theoretical training in a wide variety of aspects, such as; boating maritime knowledge, maritime emergency care, radio operations training, education and training drowning prevention and leadership development.

Volunteers need to reside within 20 minutes of the base. Volunteers need be available to serve at least one weekend and one evening a month to complete their training and gain the necessary skills.
