Mpumalanga MEC for Human Settlements, Speedy Mashilo presented a title deed to beneficiaries.

Mpumalanga MEC for Human Settlements, Speedy Mashilo when presenting title deeds recently urged the beneficiaries to keep the important document in a safe place. MEC Mashilo presented the document to some community members of Klarinet and Siyanqoba on Thursday, March 18 at the Mayor’s Parlour. He said the title deeds are very important and means a lot to the owners and that the land that house is build on, belongs to you. “A title deed is an official document stating that the land is yours and can be passed on to your children and your future generation. Every township by-law is required to have one.” MEC Mashilo also stated that they have started with the programme of presenting title deeds in other areas of the province. He said they have encountered problems and challenges, but is hopeful that they can be solved. He said the stealing of land is a major problem, but they are busy with maps in the different areas to set the record straight. A few of the title deeds were presented and the eMalahleni Municipality will continue presenting the rest.
