Robbed of personal and household belongings

A total of five suspects were inside the house, and they told the complainant and his friend to lie down on the floor.

Two men were robbed of personal and household belongings after stepping outside to have a smoke.

The incident happened on Thursday, March 18 around about 00:45 in Tasbet Park.

The complainant’s friend ran to the room to close the door, but it was too late. The suspect already had his hand inside; he fired a shot and that is when the suspect opened up the door.

A total of five suspects were inside the house, and they told the complainant and his friend to lie down on the floor.

They searched all the rooms and took the complainant to his room where they took his phone, television, laptop and a hard drive.

“I got the fright of my life when this happened as it happened so quickly,” said the complainant who would like to remain anonymous.

Later on, the complainant also noticed that they took various other items, such as a necklace, belts and other cell phones.

The suspects are unknown to the complainant and his friend. A case of house robbery was opened at Witbank Police Station.
